Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jack Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Filipe Melo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jack Daniels! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Filipe Melo! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Taro Takaoka and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Daniels drops Melo with a beautiful combination! Melo stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Daniels is looking for the KO!
It looks like Filipe Melo has been cut. Daniels bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Melo is trying to get back to half guard. Melo manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Daniels wants to get back to full guard. Melo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Melo blocks the strikes from Daniels.

That's one minute gone in the round. Melo pushing down on Daniels's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Melo is looking to take a break and control but Daniels is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Melo is looking to advance position but Daniels won't allow it. Daniels tries to roll over but Melo keeps him under control. Melo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Daniels is not content to let Melo control the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Daniels flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Melo tries to clinch but Daniels moves out of range. Daniels is looking to clinch but Melo is avoiding it.
Daniels shoots in but no luck this time. Melo wants to clinch up but Daniels keeps it at a distance. Daniels looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Daniels has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Melo is proving hard to escape from. Daniels is breathing heavily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Daniels trying to control the position from guard on top but Melo is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Daniels slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. That's four minutes gone in the round. Melo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Daniels doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Daniels manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Melo keeping moving, preventing Daniels from controlling successfully. Daniels tries to free his leg and advance position but Melo is retaining full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Melo throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Daniels got a little sloppy there for a moment and Melo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Daniels has managed to get both his arms back between Melo's legs - danger averted. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Filipe Melo will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Filipe Melo's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Good work by Melo as he checks the leg kick. Daniels looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Daniels throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Daniels tries to clinch up but Melo circles away and keeps his distance. Daniels throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Melo tries to clinch up and Daniels counters with a single leg into guard. Melo didn't expect that. Melo is looking to sinch up a triangle. Daniels throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Melo's body to avoid the submission. Melo has instead reached around Daniels's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Melo arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Filipe Melo!
