Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Porter Ricp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Boobba Weed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ricp kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Rock Flag and Eagle. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Nard Betker and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ricp wants to clinch up but Weed keeps it at a distance.
Weed throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
A head kick lands from Weed that sends Ricp to the canvas. Ricp tries to scramble back to his feet but Weed brings him back down into side control.
Ricp is rocked!
It looks like Porter Ricp has been cut.
Weed is trying to get an arm triangle but Ricp is defending well.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Weed dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Ricp. That did some damage!
Boobba Weed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Weed shoots in looking for a takedown. Ricp tries to sprawl out of it but Weed keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Ricp manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Weed throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ricp stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Weed shoots in looking for a takedown. Ricp tries to sprawl out of it but Weed keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Ricp manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Porter Ricp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Boobba Weed.

Weed feints and as Ricp raises his hands in defense, Weed changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Ricp knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Weed on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ricp tests Weed's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Weed tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Ricp swivels and escapes.
Weed fails to land the takedown.
Weed lands a head kick. Ricp smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Weed tries to score a power double leg takedown but Ricp sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Weed somewhat.

Weed has hold of one of Ricp's legs. Ricp is fighting the takedown attempt but Weed gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
Weed slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Weed working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Weed takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Weed is dominating on the ground here - he's now on his opponent's back, looking to sink in the hooks. Ricp is in real trouble.

Ricp is trying to defend against the choke here but Weed has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Weed Tightens the hold and Ricp taps out furiously! Weed displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
