Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dusty Karlson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jackson Hawthorn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karlson's entrance music is Here Comes Da Boom - Nelly. A fine choice. Jackson Hawthorn has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hawthorn fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Karlson sprawls well initially but Hawthorn persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Karlson wants to get back to his feet.
Hawthorn thows a huge punch but Karlson dodges it nicely.
Hawthorn is looking to take a break and control but Karlson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Hawthorn missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Karlson could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Hawthorn lands strikes from half guard.
Hawthorn landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Hawthorn thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Karlson to regain full guard.
Hawthorn drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Hawthorn seems to have locked his on tight now - Karlson screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Hawthorn, as he picks up the win!
