Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kenny Bobby (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jacob Crouch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kenny Bobby!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jacob Crouch!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bobby tries to score a power double leg takedown but Crouch sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Bobby somewhat.
Crouch throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Bobby scores with a head kick.
Bobby looks for a takedown but Crouch sprawls well.
Bobby is looking to clinch.
Bobby shoots in but no luck this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenny Bobby. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Bobby shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Crouch but Crouch pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bobby fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Crouch lands with a shot to the body.

Bobby avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Crouch shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bobby but Bobby pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Bobby is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Bobby shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Crouch napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Crouch tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Bobby wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Crouch is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Bobby has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Crouch is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Crouch is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Bobby trying to control the position but Crouch is working away.
Crouch is trying to buck Bobby off.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Bobby takes one to the side of the head.
Crouch lands the left hand.
Crouch digs a good body shot into Bobby's ribs.

Bobby gets a takedown into half guard.
Crouch is not content to let Bobby control the position.
Crouch is looking to escape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Crouch keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Crouch is controlling Bobby's position as best he can from this difficult position.

Bobby is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Crouch pushes Bobby off looking to stand but Bobby dives back in and keeps control.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Bobby throws a body kick that misses.
Crouch pivots, looking for a leg kick but Bobby is out of range and Crouch settles back down.
Bobby takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Crouch displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bobby.

Crouch closes the distance and pushes Bobby back into the cage.
Crouch is trying to force a seperation but Bobby has the dominant position.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bobby manages to pull guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Crouch stands up and waves to Bobby to follow him.
Bobby doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Crouch counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jacob Crouch dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.



Bobby shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Crouch's guard.

Bobby is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Crouch wants to get back to his feet but Bobby is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Crouch looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Crouch can do anything to dispel that myth.
Bobby looking to pass the guard.
Crouch is looking to stand up but Bobby isn't so interested in that idea.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Crouch is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
A slow jab from Crouch misses its intended target.
Crouch swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Crouch is trying hard to land a takedown here. Bobby sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.

Kenny Bobby seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Bobby tries to clinch
and Crouch connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Bobby doesn't succeed with the takedown
enabling Crouch to counter with a crisp jab.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenny Bobby. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Crouch throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Bobby on the side of the head.

Crouch tries to close the distance and clinch but Bobby swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Crouch shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Bobby defends it nicely.

and Bobby counters with a nice double leg into side control. Crouch won't be happy with that.
Bobby wants to control but Crouch is keeping him busy.
Crouch manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

The fighters are battling for position here. Bobby manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Crouch controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Bobby lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Crouch!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bobby prevents Crouch from getting the reversal.

Crouch has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
I really don't envy Crouch right now.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kenny Bobby will probably get the nod.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bobby lands an elbow.

Bobby is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Crouch is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
What's Crouch going to do here then? He's in a bit of a pickle.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Bobby fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Crouch throws out a leg kick but Bobby moves out of range and Crouch only half commits.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Nice takedown defense from Bobby. No joy for Crouch on that attempt.

Crouch tries to work over Bobby's front leg with a kick but Bobby checks it.

Bobby's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Crouch uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Bobby shoots in but no luck this time.

and Crouch counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Bobby breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Crouch fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Bobby on the side of the head.
Crouch fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bobby avoids it really well and circles away.

Crouch shoots in for a takedown but Bobby shows good takedown defense.

Bobby scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Crouch really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bobby. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Crouch is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Bobby has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Bobby tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Crouch pushes Bobby away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Bobby gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Crouch is trying to control Bobby's posture but Bobby avoids it.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kenny Bobby.
I think Bobby has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
