Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Pen Kli (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Micheal Bates (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Micheal Bates is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pen Kli! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Micheal Bates! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Radbod Blank and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kli looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bates is fending him off so far but Kli persists. Nope, Bates circles away and we're back to standing. Kli is looking to land body kicks. Bates uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Kli. Bates shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Bates showed some decent athleticism there. Bates content to control rather than advance.
That's one minute gone in the round. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Bates's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Despite being in the dominant position, Micheal Bates just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Bates looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Kli! Bates controlling his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Micheal Bates dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Bates closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Bates lands in his opponent's guard. Bates is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
That's one minute gone in the round. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Despite being in the dominant position, Micheal Bates just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Kli throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Kli throws the kick towards the body but Bates avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Bates blocks a head kick by Kli.
Kli with a lazy takedown attempt so Bates counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bates sitting in guard here, content to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bates is pushing down on Kli's leg trying to pass to half guard. Kli is fighting to maintain full guard but Bates has managed to sneak the leg through. Bates is taking a breather. Kli says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Bates frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Bates takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Let's hope that Bates has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Micheal Bates showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Kli slips a jab and a cross from Bates.
Bates closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Bates controls the position.

Kli looks to land a body kick but Bates moved away. Kli fails with the takedown and Bates counters with a takedown into side control. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Bates slows the pace down.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bates advances to mount. Bates controlling the position easily from mount. Micheal Bates has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Bates is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Kli can't stay in a position like this for much longer.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Pen Kli has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that's the end of the fight! Micheal Bates comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Bates has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
