Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Oxbig (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Carl Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Mike Oxbig has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mike Oxbig! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Carl Bell! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oxbig throws a leg kick but Bell checks it. Bell drives through with a takedown into guard. Bell should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Bell trying to control but Oxbig is working from the bottom. Bell is stalling in the full guard. Oxbig lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Bell! Bell is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Bell tries to reverse the position but Oxbig maintains control. Oxbig knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bell on the ground. Oxbig wants to control the pace but Bell is squirming around nicely. Oxbig lands a big elbow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oxbig looking to control and managing it successfully. Bell swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Oxbig goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Bell turns into him and now he's in Oxbig's guard.
Oxbig is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Bell is aware though and is defending well. Bell thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Bell drops back looking for a leg! Oxbig is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Oxbig manages to kick Bell off! Bell jumps back into Oxbig's guard. Bell has gone for a leg lock! Oxbig slips out almost immediately though and dives into Bell's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oxbig wants to pass the guard but Bell is keeping the position. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Oxbig slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Oxbig stands and steps away. Bell gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Oxbig drives through and clinches with Bell against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Oxbig has clasped his hands together around Bell's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Bell struggling a bit here. Bell is not content to let Oxbig control the position. Oxbig tries to stand but Bell is controlling his head. Oxbig is breathing heavily. Bell gets back to half guard. Bell trying to control from the bottom.
Bell is staying active underneath Oxbig, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Oxbig looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Bell shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Bell slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Bell thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Bell just content to control the position. Bell looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Carl Bell will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Nice takedown defense from Oxbig. No joy for Bell on that attempt. Oxbig closes the distance and clinches up with Bell, looking for a takedown. Oxbig pushes Bell against the cage but Bell circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Oxbig lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Bell fails with the takedown and Oxbig counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Nice takedown defense from Bell. No joy for Oxbig on that attempt. Bell fails with an attempt to clinch.
Oxbig misses with a double jab.
Oxbig lands a two punch combo.
It looks like Carl Bell has been cut. Oxbig misses with a head kick.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Bell lands with a kick to the temple. Oxbig shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Oxbig wants to clinch but Bell slips to the side and Bell decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Oxbig's guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Bell with a nice head shot there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oxbig looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Oxbig is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Bell connects with a couple of short punches. Oxbig trying to keep a closed guard but Bell is proving a slippery customer.
Bell drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Bell jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Oxbig trying to control the position.
Bell is looking to work some ground and pound but Oxbig has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Bell scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Bell throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. You can see the frustration on Oxbig's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Oxbig is pushing Bell's head away, looking to escape. Bell manages to hold on to the position though. Bell controlling from side mount. Bell landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Bell is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Oxbig is trying to escape and Bell transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Oxbig is forced to tap! Nice work there by Bell! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:04 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Carl Bell!
