Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Richard Blackmore!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeff Killington!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, George Francis and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Blackmore. No joy for Killington on that attempt.
Blackmore shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Blackmore shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Killington sprawls well. Killington wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Blackmore gets slowly back to his feet.
Blackmore tries to clinch up but Killington circles away and keeps his distance.
Blackmore connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.


It looks like Jeff Killington has been cut.

Blackmore takes the fight into the clinch.

Killington has clasped his hands together around Blackmore's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Blackmore is pushing Killington's head away, looking to escape. Killington manages to hold on to the position though.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Killington feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Blackmore is breathing heavily.

Killington fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

Killington trying to control the action but Blackmore is working from the bottom.

Blackmore might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Blackmore is trying to buck Killington off.

Killington is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Blackmore manages to get to full guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Blackmore is on top in guard.

Blackmore can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Killington is looking to escape.

Blackmore with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

You get the feeling that Killington really doesn't like being in this position too much.

Blackmore looking to secure an arm triangle but Killington defends it well.
Killington keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Blackmore is going olschool here, as he tries to force Killington to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Killington shrugs it off.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Blackmore prevents Killington from getting the reversal.
Blackmore lands with some strikes.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Richard Blackmore will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Jeff Killington's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Killington circles away from the clinch attempt.
Killington tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Blackmore swivels and escapes.
Killington with a poor takedown
and Blackmore counters with a three punch combo that has Killington backing up. Killington nods at Blackmore to acknowledge the strikes.
Blackmore tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Killington paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A left and a right from Blackmore both land. Nice combination.
Blackmore dives in and grabs Killington's left leg, looking for a takedown. Killington pushes down on Blackmore's head and hops out.

Killington scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

Killington drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Blackmore manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Killington has Blackmore in his guard.

Blackmore wants to control from the top but Killington keeps moving.
Killington throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
Blackmore stands and throws Killington's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Blackmore advances nicely into full mount.
Killington wants to control but Blackmore is having none of it.
Killington is trying to escape the mount.
Blackmore postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Killington looks a forlorn figure.
Blackmore avoids the attempt from Killington to control.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Blackmore wants to control the pace but Killington is squirming around nicely.

Killington is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Blackmore locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Killington is forced to tap!
