1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jim Foster! The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Eddie Farnsworth and Russell Pearce.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jim Foster tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Excellent takedown into side control there by Jim Foster. Jim Foster taking a break here but Ben Foster is having none of it and regains half guard. Ben Foster is looking for a sweep. Jim Foster is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ben Foster is trying to stand up here but Jim Foster is controlling him well. Ben Foster is trying to control but can't.
Jim Foster trying to pass the guard but Ben Foster defending well. Ben Foster is trying to maintain the position but Jim Foster is very close to passing his half guard. Ben Foster actively working from the bottom here.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Jim Foster avoids a kick to the body.
Jim Foster looks to land a combination. Ben Foster sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots. Jim Foster cracks Ben Foster with a right hand to the side of the head. Jim Foster shoots in and bounces Ben Foster off the ropes to secure the takedown into guard. Jim Foster must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Ben Foster is looking for a triangle here but Jim Foster uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Ben Foster is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Ben Foster tries to get back to half guard but can't. Jim Foster wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Ben Foster, who protects the arm well.

Ben Foster wants to control but Jim Foster postures up. Jim Foster in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Ben Foster is trying to improve his position.
