Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bobert Jessifer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Invandra! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Invandra moves in looking to clinch but Jessifer pushes him off. Invandra should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Invandra looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Jessifer gets a clinch. Invandra is trying to drag Jessifer to the mat but Jessifer just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Jessifer manages to pull guard.
Jessifer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Invandra can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Jessifer seems keen to control Invandra's posture. Jessifer looking to control.
Invandra really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jessifer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Jessifer throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Jessifer trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!
That's one minute gone in the round. Jessifer wants to stand and escape but Invandra is having none of it. Jessifer not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Jessifer has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Invandra can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Jessifer had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Invandra is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Jessifer Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Invandra's back instead. Jessifer has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Jessifer really has the hooks in deep now - there seems like no escape for Invandra.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jessifer gets his hands free as Invandra looks to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Invandra is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Jessifer.
Invandra is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Jessifer gets his way!
Invandra is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Invandra is in a world of trouble here. He's outmatched on the ground here and he'd better get Jessifer off his back sharpish unless he wants to be submitted.

Jessifer sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Invandra taps out!
