Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Tokyo, Hawk Seibold!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
3 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ben Dover!
The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dover tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Dover throws a body kick that misses.
Seibold shoots in but no luck this time.
Dover lands with a slapping head kick.
Seibold blocks a head kick by Dover.
Seibold shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Seibold was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Dover wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Seibold.
Seibold wants to control the pace but Dover is squirming around nicely.
Dover tries to lock up and control but Seibold gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Seibold trying to control but Dover is having none of it.
Seibold working the ground and pound effectively.
It looks like Ben Dover has been cut.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Seibold throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Dover because Seibold loaded up on that one.
Dover is desperately trying to improve his position but Seibold has a good base and remains in mount.
Seibold cracks Dover with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Seibold throwing strikes here but Dover is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Seibold lands a heavy elbow.
Dover is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
Dover can't escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Seibold postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Dover in real trouble here! The ref calls for Dover to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hawk Seibold!
