Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Andrej Kabak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Boitsov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kabak's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Alestorm - Keelhauled. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Ivan Boitsov enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Andrej Kabak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Boitsov!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Igor Prikhodko and Illya Tyunina.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kabak gets caught flat footed, as Boitsov shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Kabak looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Boitsov controlling from the top position.
Boitsov wants to control from the top but Kabak keeps moving.
Kabak on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kabak tries to get out of the position.
Boitsov advances to half guard.
Ground and pound from Boitsov.

Boitsov working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Boitsov stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Kabak tries to clinch up but Boitsov circles away and keeps his distance.
Andrej Kabak seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Boitsov fails with an attempt to clinch.
Boitsov punishes Kabak's body with a nice straight punch.
Boitsov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Kabak was well out of range. Poor timing from Boitsov.
Boitsov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kabak's waist but Kabak gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Boitsov off to one side.
Boitsov scores with a head kick.
Boitsov closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kabak circles away.

Boitsov takes a little break here. Kabak wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.

Boitsov decides to stand back up. Boitsov steps back and let's Kabak get back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Boitsov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kabak as he avoids it easily.

Boitsov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Kabak fails to land with a series of punches.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Boitsov shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kabak as he avoids it easily.
Boitsov throws a jab when Kabak was well out of range.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Boitsov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kabak's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kabak is looking for a triangle here but Boitsov uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Kabak manages to work his way to half guard, despite Boitsov's best efforts.
Kabak wants to get back to his feet.
Kabak is staying active underneath Boitsov, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Kabak wants to control but Boitsov is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Boitsov decides to stand and escape the position.
Boitsov misses with a kick to the body.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Kabak displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Boitsov.

A short body shot lands from Kabak as the two fighters clinch.

Boitsov jumps into guard, dragging Kabak to the mat.
Boitsov bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kabak's guard.
Boitsov not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Boitsov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Kabak has his foot on Boitsov's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Boitsov works his way back into a safe position though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Kabak can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Boitsov controls the pace.

Kabak is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Kabak swings for the body but Boitsov moves out of range.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Andrej Kabak is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Kabak tries to close the distance and clinch but Boitsov swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Boitsov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kabak tries to avoid it but Boitsov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kabak to the ground. Kabak escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Boitsov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Kabak sprawls well. Kabak wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Boitsov gets slowly back to his feet.
The fight stays on the outside here - Boitsov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Kabak shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Boitsov sprawls well. Boitsov wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kabak gets slowly back to his feet.

Horrible takedown by Boitsov or perhaps it was just good defense by Kabak which made him look bad.

Boitsov should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Ivan Boitsov showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Kabak shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

and Kabak counters with a three punch combo that has Boitsov backing up. Boitsov nods at Kabak to acknowledge the strikes.
Kabak defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Boitsov.
Kabak fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Boitsov avoids it really well and circles away.
Kabak closes the distance but Boitsov moves to the side
and Boitsov counters with a slapping leg kick.
Boitsov misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Boitsov makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.

Boitsov forces Kabak back against the cage and clinches.
Boitsov tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Boitsov wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Kabak obliges.
A right hook to the body lands for Kabak.

Boitsov ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Boitsov no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Kabak postures up.
Kabak trying to control the position from guard on top but Boitsov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Boitsov trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Boitsov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kabak gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Boitsov is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
The fighters are battling for position here. Kabak manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Boitsov gets to his feet - Kabak follows without any prompting.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Kabak.
Kabak lands with a nice combination. Boitsov backs away looking to recover.

Andrej Kabak has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Ivan Boitsov is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Boitsov changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Kabak fights it off and pushes away nicely.

I would just about give that final round to Ivan Boitsov.
I've got Boitsov winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
