Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Noramros Vladchex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Baker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Baker has chosen The Duck Song as his entrance music. Jake Baker is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Noramros Vladchex! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Baker! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vladchex throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Vladchex fails to land with a series of punches.
Baker stuffs the takedown. Vladchex swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nice sprawl there from Baker as Vladchex shoots in. Baker shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Baker was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Vladchex is looking to improve his position but Baker isn't that keen on the idea. Vladchex tries to hold on but Baker pushes him away. Baker takes his opponent's back. Perhaps a chance to lock up a rear naked choke here.

Baker really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Vladchex. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Baker controls the position. Baker is persistently looking for the submission but Vladchex is defending it well.
Vladchex tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Vladchex tries to get back to half guard but can't. Baker controlling from the full mount. Baker wants to get back to his feet but Vladchex is holding on tight.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Baker looks gassed! Baker controlling his opponent. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Vladchex keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Despite being in the dominant position, Jake Baker just isn't active enough and the referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Vladchex rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Baker moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Nice takedown defense from Vladchex. No joy for Baker on that attempt. Vladchex works Baker's body with a nice hook. The fight stays on the outside here - Vladchex looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Vladchex misses with a body kick. Some wild striking there from Vladchex.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Baker tries for a takedown but Vladchex sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Vladchex has his takedown stuffed so Baker counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Noramros Vladchex. That's going to take a lot out of him. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Vladchex is on top in guard.

Vladchex throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Baker works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Vladchex wants to pass the guard but Baker is keeping the position. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. Vladchex missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Vladchex has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Baker is proving hard to escape from. Vladchex is in close to Baker's body, working some short punches and elbows.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Vladchex wants to clinch but Baker slips to the side and Baker counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Vladchex's guard now. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Vladchex manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Baker manages to get himself to full guard.
Vladchex controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Vladchex tries to free his leg and advance position but Baker is retaining full guard. Baker keeping moving, preventing Vladchex from controlling successfully. Baker seems keen to control Vladchex's posture. Vladchex will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Baker trying to keep a closed guard but Vladchex is proving a slippery customer.
Vladchex chips away with some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vladchex shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Baker pinned against the cage. Baker gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Vladchex stuffs the takedown attempt from Baker. Baker gets slowly back to his feet. Vladchex gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. Vladchex wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Vladchex can't break the clinch.
