Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Navinho Vasquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mason Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Dixon's choice of entrance music: Eye Of The Tiger. Mason Dixon is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Navinho Vasquez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Mason Dixon! The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Sam Margolis and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dixon tries to keep at a distance but Vasquez has taken the fight into the clinch. Dixon throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges. Dixon digs a right hand underneath Vasquez's ribcage. Vasquez let out a lung full of air as it connected. Vasquez prevents a takedown attempt there.
Dixon has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Dixon lands an uppercut. Nice body punch from Dixon. Vasquez tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Dixon just stands there and leans against the cage. Dixon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dixon looks to land a body kick but Vasquez moved away. Dixon shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Dixon stands and steps away. Vasquez gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Dixon gets in close and instigates a clinch. Vasquez gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Dixon.
Vasquez is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Dixon is defending well for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dixon wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Dixon holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Dixon presses Vasquez against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Vasquez is breathing heavily. Dixon has had enough of the clinch but Vasquez keeps him there for the moment. Dixon's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Dixon closes the distance and pushes Vasquez back into the cage. Dixon looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Dixon creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Dixon manages to break the clinch.
Mason Dixon seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dixon instigates a clinch. Dixon's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dixon tries to clinch up but Vasquez circles away and keeps his distance. Vasquez tries for a takedown but Dixon circles away easily and Dixon counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Dixon. Dixon is trying to drag Vasquez to the mat but Vasquez just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. Navinho Vasquez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mason Dixon. Dixon presses Vasquez against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot. Dixon stops a takedown attempt from Vasquez.
Dixon breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Dixon moves into range and clinches up with Vasquez. Dixon tries to land a knee to the head but misses.

Dixon scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. This has been an exciting period of action! Crunch! Dixon slams his shin into Vasquez's torso.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dixon rushes Vasquez and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Dixon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dixon shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Vasquez is trying to defend but Dixon finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Dixon throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Dixon is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Dixon postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Vasquez to stand up. Dixon has Vasquez up against the cage in a clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dixon gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Vasquez.
Dixon wants the takedown. Vasquez is fighting it off but Dixon persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Vasquez's guard against the cage. Dixon decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Vasquez, up you get! Dixon darts in and out, connecting with a jab. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dixon rushes Vasquez and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Dixon breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Dixon throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Vasquez needs to keep his hands up - Dixon had a free shot at his head there. Dixon lands a brutal head kick. Vasquez looks out on his feet and Dixon throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick and Punches). Mason Dixon!
