Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ed Motta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Slice Kimbo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ed Motta! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Slice Kimbo! The judges for this bout are Edson Gomes, Felipe Paraventi and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kimbo tries to clinch there but Motta circles away.
Kimbo shoots for a double leg takedown but Motta sprawls well. He's pushed Kimbo's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Motta gets in close and instigates a clinch. Kimbo is trying to break the clinch but Motta has him pressed against the cage. Motta stalling.
Motta is working for takedown but Kimbo is calmly controlling the position for now. Kimbo stops a takedown attempt from Motta.
Kimbo tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Motta just stands there and leans against the cage. Kimbo prevents a takedown attempt there.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ed Motta. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kimbo gets control of Motta's arms and successfully pulls guard. Kimbo will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Kimbo tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kimbo wants to stand but Motta is controlling the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kimbo working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Motta doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Motta manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Motta controls from within his opponent's guard. Kimbo working a defensive guard but Motta manages to pass into side control anyway.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Motta content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Kimbo struggling a bit here. Kimbo prevents Motta from improving position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kimbo sneaks back into half guard. Kimbo looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kimbo can do anything to dispel that myth. Kimbo trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Motta manages to pass to mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Motta controlling from mount. Kimbo keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Ed Motta will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Kimbo shoots in looking for a takedown. Motta tries to sprawl out of it but Kimbo keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Motta manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kimbo fails in his attempt to clinch. Kimbo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Motta avoids it really well and circles away. A jab lands there for Motta. Motta drops Kimbo with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Kimbo looks back up at him and smiles so Motta waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Motta lands with a nice body punch. Motta ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Motta has closed the distance and engaged Kimbo in a clinch.
Kimbo is breathing heavily. A right hand to the body from Motta.
Motta manages to pull guard.
Motta seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
That's one minute gone in the round. Motta looking for a sweep. Not yet Motta, not yet. Motta is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Motta has his feet on Kimbo's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Kimbo closes this distance looking for a takedown but Motta circles away. Ed Motta has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Slice Kimbo. Motta bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Kimbo's head backwards. Motta darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Motta drops Kimbo with a naaaaasty hook - Kimbo is in real trouble here! Motta dives in to side control and pounds out his opponent for a TKO victory! The crowd goes nuts!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ed Motta!
