The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oliveira takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
selcinji circles away from the clinch attempt.
selcinji drives through with a takedown into guard.
selcinji trying to control but Oliveira is working from the bottom.
selcinji in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
selcinji postures up.
Oliveira really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Oliveira escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. selcinji gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
selcinji trying to control the position from guard on top but Oliveira is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
selcinji must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
selcinji is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Oliveira is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
selcinji tries to stand but Oliveira is controlling from the bottom.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if selcinji can do anything to dispel that myth.

That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Oliveira! Submission of the night perhaps?
