Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alex Shemenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrei Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sanchez has chosen National Anthem as his entrance music. Andrei Sanchez is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Alex Shemenko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Andrei Sanchez! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Shemenko tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sanchez paws at him with a jab and circles away. Shemenko gets a takedown into half guard. Shemenko is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Sanchez still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Sanchez has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work! Sanchez decides to stand up, so the ref orders Shemenko to his feet. Sanchez tries to clinch but Shemenko moves out of range. Shemenko lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sanchez circles away quickly and effectively. Sanchez tries to close the distance and clinch up but Shemenko swats him away and circles back towards the center. Sanchez with a poor takedown and Shemenko counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Shemenko wants to work for an arm triangle but Sanchez is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Sanchez wants to improve his position but Shemenko is controlling well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Sanchez looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Sanchez wants to get back to his feet. Shemenko seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Sanchez has recovered full guard. Shemenko gets to his feet. Sanchez looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! Shemenko is breathing heavily. Sanchez closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Shemenko moves into full guard.
Sanchez is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Shemenko is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Shemenko has escaped and now he's on top!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Shemenko passes easily into side control. Nice work. Shemenko tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Shemenko wants to control but Sanchez is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sanchez is looking for a sweep. Shemenko working the head with strikes. Shemenko wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sanchez keeps working. Shemenko throws a strike aimed at the side of Sanchez's head but Sanchez avoids it well. Shemenko is trying to get an arm triangle but Sanchez is defending well. Shemenko tries for a kimura but Sanchez is defending well.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Shemenko clinches with his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Shemenko is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Sanchez can't fight it off and eventually Shemenko manages to take the fight to the floor. Sanchez looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Sanchez has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Shemenko should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Sanchez has tightened it up now! Shemenko should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
