Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Selly Sel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Strange (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Selly Sel! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ben Strange! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, John Mangel and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Strange tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Strange forces Sel back against the cage and clinches. Strange looking for a takedown. Strange can't get the takedown.
Sel has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Strange's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Ben Strange seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Strange takes one on the button. Strange looks to land a combination but Sel avoids it well. A jab from Sel finds it's way through Strange's defenses.
It looks like Ben Strange has been cut. Strange misses with a jab, cross combination.
Strange steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Sel. No luck with that takedown attempt from Strange. Selly Sel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Strange. Strange moves out of range as Sel strikes. Sel fails in his attempt to clinch. Sel cracks Strange with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business. Sel misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Strange misses with a takedown attempt - Sel sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Strange will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Strange moves out of range of the strikes. Sel tries to clinch up but Strange circles away and keeps his distance. Strange lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strange fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Sel misses with a looping right. Strange takes one to the side of the head.
Sel shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Strange defends it nicely. A right-left combo lands from Sel. Sel lands with a nice body punch. Strange blocks a jab. Sel shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Strange's guard. Strange is trying to control the position but Sel postures up. Strange looking to hit a scissor sweep but Sel is one step ahead there. Sel is looking to work some ground and pound but Strange has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Strange wants to get back to his feet but Sel is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Strange is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Sel passes easily into side control. Nice work. Sel landing a few strikes. Sel cracks Strange with an elbow. That is naaassty. Sel is trying to get an arm triangle but Strange is defending well. Sel tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Strange tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Sel presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sel prevents Strange from getting the reversal. Sel breaks from Strange's wrist control and lands an elbow. Sel is working for a guillotine from mount but Strange frees his head quite easily.
Sel is breathing heavily. Sel avoids the attempt from Strange to control. Strange sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Strange tries to get to full guard but Sel has control of the leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Strange pushes Sel off and gets back to his feet. Sel closes the distance and clinches. Sel is pressed up against the cage. Strange has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Sel down to the mat. Sel avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Strange wants to clinch and Sel connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Strange misses with the combination.
Strange tries to clinch up. Strange moves out of range of the body kick from Sel.
Strange shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Strange bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Strange takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Strange shoots for a takedown but Sel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Strange changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sel tries to avoid it but Strange manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sel to the ground. Sel escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Sel lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Selly Sel dominated that round. The cut man is working on Ben Strange's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Sel stuffs the takedown attempt from Strange. Strange gets slowly back to his feet. Sel throws a series of punches but Strange moves out of range. Strange avoids a punch combination nicely.
Strange circles away from the clinch attempt.
Sel thows a body shot but no joy. Sel lands a jab to Strange's midsection. Strange wants to clinch. Strange moves out of range of the strikes. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Sel tries to score a power double leg takedown but Strange sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sel somewhat. Selly Sel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Strange avoids the body shot from Sel.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sel looks to land a left hand but Strange moved out of range nicely. Strange lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Sel circles away quickly and effectively. Strange looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sel thows a body shot but no joy. Strange throws a quick inside leg kick. Strange fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Sel throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Strange counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Strange wants to lay and pray for a moment but Sel keeps working. Strange thows a huge punch but Sel dodges it nicely.
Strange is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sel defends it well. Sel wants to control but Strange is keeping busy and won't allow it. Strange gets to his feet - back to striking we go!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Strange scores with a takedown into Sel's guard. Strange decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Strange shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Sel as he avoids it easily. Selly Sel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Strange. Sel misses with a series of wild punches.

They are putting on a show! The fighters circle momentarily. Strange darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Strange closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Strange working Sel over with knees to the body.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strange jumps into guard, dragging Sel to the mat.
Strange wants to sweep here but Sel controlling him for the moment. Strange is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Strange has his feet on Sel's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work. Sel looks to score with a jab to the body but Strange is just out of range. Sel misses with a two punch combination.

Strange gets control of Sel's arms and successfully pulls guard. Strange will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Strange controls Sel momentarily but Sel frees himself. Strange scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Sel takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Strange is looking to clinch. Strange closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Ben Strange has got the better of the ground game so far. Strange decides to stand back up. Sel jabs at Strange's body. Sel throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Strange counters with a one-two to the body. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Strange fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Sel, pushing him back against the cage. Sel jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Strange walks away with a smile on his face. Sel gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Sel displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Strange. Strange shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sel defends it nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ben Strange showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Ben Strange's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Strange is looking to clinch. Sel throws a combination that misses and Strange counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Strange wants to control from the top but Sel keeps moving. Sel has a closed guard, preventing Strange from standing up. Sel trying to control the position.
Strange passes Sel's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Sel is defending against the submission attempts here by Strange.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Strange wants to free his trapped foot but Sel is holding on for dear life with his legs. Sel wants to get back to full guard. Strange wants to pass the guard but Sel is defending well. Strange performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Sel trying to control here.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Strange content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Sel wants to get back to his feet.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Strange clinches with his opponent.
Strange tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sel smiles and moves away.
Strange gets a takedown into half guard. Strange is looking for a kimura but Sel is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Strange to get the leverage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Strange prevents Sel from standing back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Strange sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sel's guard. Strange is looking for a kimura here.
Strange is looking to advance position but Sel won't allow it. Sel throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Sel is not content to let Strange control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! Ben Strange comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Strange has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
