Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Koshi Tatsu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and London Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). London Hunter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Koshi Tatsu! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, London Hunter! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Sano and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hunter closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Hunter lands in his opponent's guard. Hunter wants to pass the guard but Tatsu is keeping the position. Tatsu is looking for a triangle but Hunter pushes his legs off easily.
Tatsu is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Hunter is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tatsu is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tatsu has escaped and now he's on top! Hunter throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Tatsu drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tatsu jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Tatsu got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hunter has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tatsu has managed to get both his arms back between Hunter's legs - danger averted.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tatsu drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tatsu jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Hunter throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Hunter had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Tatsu is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hunter Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Tatsu's back instead. Hunter looks gassed! Tatsu trying to control but not successfully. Hunter working for a choke but Tatsu is defending well.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Tatsu defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Hunter's arms.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tatsu manages to reverse the position and now he's in Hunter's guard. Nice work there by Tatsu.
Tatsu advances to half guard. Hunter trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
Tatsu has hold of Hunter's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Hunter manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Hunter is in all sorts of trouble here.
Hunter is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Hunter wants to control but Tatsu is having none of it. Hunter defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Tatsu.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tatsu looking to control but Hunter is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Hunter is working to get back to half guard.
Tatsu can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hunter is looking to escape. Hunter is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tatsu with good strikes from the mount here! Tatsu is going olschool here, as he tries to force Hunter to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Hunter shrugs it off. Hunter is in a horrible position here. Tatsu smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tatsu trying to control but he's not successful this time. Hunter is looking to improve his position but Tatsu isn't that keen on the idea. Tatsu is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Hunter is surviving well by controlling Tatsu's body position as best he can. Hunter is squirming around, avoiding Tatsu's attempts to control the action. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Koshi Tatsu dominated that round. That's time! Tatsu's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Hunter tries to clinch up. Hunter closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Tatsu is defending against the submission attempts here by Hunter.
The fighters are battling for position here. Tatsu manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Hunter is looking to advance position but Tatsu has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount! Hunter is trying to escape the mount.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tatsu has control of Hunter's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Hunter regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The referee warns Hunter that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Tatsu trying to control but Hunter is having none of it. Tatsu lands a big elbow. Tatsu looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet. Hunter is desperately trying to improve his position but Tatsu has a good base and remains in mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee warns Hunter that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Tatsu punching from mount but Hunter doing a good job of avoiding damage. Tatsu working for a guillotine from mount but Hunter is in no mood to give up. Koshi Tatsu overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hunter is looking to get to half guard. Tatsu landing strikes from the mount and Hunter is in trouble! Tatsu throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Hunter because Tatsu loaded up on that one. Hunter slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Hunter is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Tatsu pulls his head out easily. Hunter is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Tatsu jumps into side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hunter is trying to get back to half guard. Tatsu is trying to get an arm triangle but Hunter is defending well. Tatsu thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Hunter gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Hunter makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hunter. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Hunter is on top in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tatsu can't keep his opponent in guard - Hunter advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Hunter is working for a submission of some sort.

Hunter wants to pass the guard but Tatsu is defending well. Tatsu is controlling Hunter's position as best he can from this difficult position. Tatsu moves into full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Koshi Tatsu will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Hunter throws out a powerful jab. Hunter shoots for a double leg takedown but Tatsu sprawls well. He's pushed Hunter's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Hunter looks for a takedown but Tatsu sprawls well. Tatsu closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Tatsu working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hunter tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Tatsu wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Tatsu taking a breather here. Hunter sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Tatsu lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Hunter makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hunter. Hunter throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Tatsu with a flurry of punches that miss. Hunter is looking for a triangle but Tatsu pushes his legs off easily.

Hunter looking for subs off his back but Tatsu has passed one foot through into half guard.
Tatsu looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Hunter slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Hunter working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Tatsu has passed into half guard!

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hunter makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Hunter. Hunter looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Tatsu has picked Hunter up and slammed him! Hunter can't keep hold of the triangle and Tatsu manages to pass to side control! Hunter is trying to work for a sweep but Tatsu has mounted him! Hunter is in all sorts of trouble here.
Tatsu pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Tatsu putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Hunter defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Tatsu. Tatsu landing strikes from the mount and Hunter is in trouble! Tatsu wants to finish this one by submission but Hunter is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Tatsu. Hunter regains half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Koshi Tatsu showed his dominance in that final round. Well Tatsu has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
