Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Stephen Parker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Larry Hammil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stephen Parker! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Larry Hammil! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Steve Montenegro and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hammil changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Parker tries to avoid it but Hammil manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Parker to the ground. Parker escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Hammil avoids the body shot from Parker.
Parker lands with a cross.
It looks like Larry Hammil has been cut. Hammil ducks under a wild hook from Parker. Parker shoots in and bounces Hammil off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Hammil trying to keep a closed guard but Parker is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Parker not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Parker is working Hammil over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Hammil is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Parker working some strikes from top position. Parker cracks Hammil with a solid left hand. Parker not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Parker trying to control but Hammil is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hammil escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Parker gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Parker with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Hammil keeping moving, preventing Parker from controlling successfully. Parker drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Parker jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Parker connects with a couple of short punches. Parker chips away with some ground and pound. Parker loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Parker keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Hammil's head. Parker working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Parker throwing strikes from guard but Hammil blocks nicely. Hammil has momentary wrist control but Parker slips an elbow through the middle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Parker stays in close to Hammil's body and controls the position. Parker's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Hammil working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Parker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Parker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Hammil looks gassed! Parker lands a couple of decent looking shots. Parker is working Hammil over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Parker scoring with some ground and pound. Parker lands a couple of decent looking shots. Hammil has his foot on Parker's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Parker works his way back into a safe position though. Parker working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hammil's head. Parker lands a couple of decent looking shots. Parker distracts Hammil with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Hammil is rocked!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Parker working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hammil's head. Hammil is still in real trouble! Can Parker finish him? Parker postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Hammil covers up, he's hurt! Parker keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Parker and the ref steps in to end the fight! Parker can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
