The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filho scores with a one two! Leites had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Leites lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Filho circles away quickly and effectively.

Filho got a little sloppy there for a moment and Leites has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Filho has managed to get both his arms back between Leites's legs - danger averted.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Renan Filho.
