Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Frank Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sarah Simpson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sarah Simpson told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Frank Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sarah Simpson!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Chad Campbell and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simpson moves into the clinch.
Silva tries to pull guard but Simpson won't allow it.

Simpson jumps guard and drags Silva to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Simpson had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Silva is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Simpson Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Silva's back instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
You can see the frustration on Silva's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Simpson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Silva. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Silva stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Simpson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
