Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, King Emelianenko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Memphis Aleist!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Illya Tyunina and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Aleist darts in and clinches Emelianenko up against the cage.
Emelianenko drops down looking for an ankle pick but Aleist pulls his leg out and moves away.
Emelianenko shoots for a takedown but Aleist saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Aleist scores with a takedown into Emelianenko's guard.
Aleist looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Emelianenko avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Emelianenko has his foot on Aleist's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Aleist works his way back into a safe position though.
Emelianenko might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Aleist trying to control the position from guard on top but Emelianenko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Aleist must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Aleist got a little sloppy there for a moment and Emelianenko has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Aleist has managed to get both his arms back between Emelianenko's legs - danger averted.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Emelianenko throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Emelianenko looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Aleist puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Aleist is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Emelianenko makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Emelianenko.
Aleist trying to control the position from guard on top but Emelianenko is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Emelianenko has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Aleist should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Emelianenko has tightened it up now! Aleist should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
