Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Fedor Karelinokov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Ricky Gilreath!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Tarja Halkonen and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Karelinokov fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gilreath sprawls well initially but Karelinokov persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Karelinokov performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Gilreath is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Gilreath pushes Karelinokov off looking to stand but Karelinokov dives back in and keeps control.

Karelinokov lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Karelinokov has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Karelinokov is working for a submission of some sort.
Karelinokov prevents Gilreath from improving his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gilreath tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Karelinokov has advanced to mount. Uh oh.
Karelinokov can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gilreath is looking to escape.
Karelinokov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Gilreath can't escape the position.
Gilreath is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Gilreath tries to hold on but Karelinokov pushes him away.
Karelinokov could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gilreath can't escape the position.

Karelinokov looking to isolate an arm here. Gilreath doesn't see it coming and as Karelinokov extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Karelinokov!
