The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McBride throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Good leg kick by Russo there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Russo tries for a takedown but McBride sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Russo lands a big head kick that sends McBride tumbling to the mat! Russo takes a step backwards and waves McBride back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Russo shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
