Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mac Donalds (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Corbett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mac Donalds has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mac Donalds!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Max Corbett!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corbett misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Donalds.
No joy there for Donalds, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Corbett lands a jab to the head.

Corbett gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Donalds to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Donalds trying to control but Corbett is working from the bottom.
Corbett is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Corbett is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Corbett pulls Donalds in close to prevent any damage.

Donalds tries to stand but Corbett is controlling from the bottom.
Corbett tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Corbett wants to improve his position but instead Donalds has moved into half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Donalds wants to stand and escape but instead Corbett has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Corbett cracks Donalds with a solid left hand.
Corbett wants to control from the top but Donalds keeps moving.
Corbett throws and elbow that misses. Donalds uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Corbett's guard. Nice move by Donalds!

Donalds postures up in Corbett's guard and throws a big left but Corbett blocks it.
Corbett wants to sweep here but Donalds controlling him for the moment.

Corbett uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Donalds throws a series of punches but Corbett avoids them all with ease.
Some wild striking there from Corbett.
Max Corbett seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Donalds takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Corbett swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Corbett shoots in for a double leg but Donalds sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Donalds doesn't manage to clinch there - Corbett circles away.
Corbett tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Donalds was well out of range. Poor timing from Corbett.
Donalds is looking to clinch.
Corbett drops his hands momentarily and Donalds takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Corbett throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Donalds on the side of the head.
Corbett avoids the body shot from Donalds.
Corbett misses with a straight right.
Corbett misses with a takedown
and Donalds counters with a series of strikes. Corbett will be more careful next time no doubt.
Donalds throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Corbett.
Donalds is breathing heavily.
Donalds tries to clinch up but Corbett circles away and keeps his distance.

Donalds takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Max Corbett will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Corbett fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Corbett gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Donalds uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Corbett.

Corbett shoots in and bounces Donalds off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Corbett is looking to work some ground and pound but Donalds has wrist control.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Corbett's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Corbett postures up in Donalds's guard and throws a big left but Donalds blocks it.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Corbett stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Donalds swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Corbett is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Corbett slips nicely into half guard.
Corbett thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Donalds's head.
Donalds won't allow Corbett to pass to mount.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Donalds is not content to let Corbett control the position.
Corbett drops an elbow to the side of Donalds's head.
Corbett thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Donalds's head.
Donalds won't allow Corbett to pass to mount.
Donalds blocking the ground and pound attempt from Corbett.
Corbett is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Donalds!
Donalds is trying to escape the mount.
Donalds takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.

Corbett breaks from Donalds's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Corbett tries to control but Donalds wriggling away.
Corbett lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Donalds hang on?
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Corbett cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Corbett breaks from Donalds's wrist control and lands an elbow.

BOOM! Corbett connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Corbett scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Corbett can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Donalds is looking to escape.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Max Corbett showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!


Donalds closes this distance looking for a takedown but Corbett circles away.
Donalds tries for a takedown but Corbett sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Corbett comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Corbett scores with a nice head shot.
Donalds takes a body punch but keeps moving.
A punch lands to the side of Donalds 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Corbett scores with a hook to the body. Donalds takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Corbett lands a glancing blow to the side of Donalds's head.

Corbett changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Donalds looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Corbett connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Donalds some visible discomfort.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Corbett looks up at the clock and then as Donalds takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Corbett smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Max Corbett is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Corbett lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Corbett is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Donalds will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Corbett has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Corbett cracks Donalds with a big right hand but Donalds just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Corbett is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Corbett lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Donalds down.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Max Corbett comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Corbett has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
