The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Richards tries to avoid it but Kane manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Richards to the ground. Richards escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Good exchange - Richards coming out on top.
Richards scores with a nice right hand.
Richards scores with a one two! Kane had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Richards throws an uppercut from hell that sends Kane clean off his feet! He's out cold! Richards stands back and admires his work as he thinks about that KO of the night award that is surely being wrapped up for him back stage.
