Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Anderson Guida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dedric Knowles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Anderson Guida has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anderson Guida!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Dedric Knowles!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knowles misses with a series of wild punches.
Knowles scores with a three punch combo!
Knowles throws a right and a left that Guida avoids nicely.
Knowles lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Guida backs up against the cage.
Guida closes this distance looking for a takedown but Knowles circles away.
Guida shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Knowles but Knowles pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Knowles scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Knowles fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Guida manages to avoid it.
Guida moves out of range of the body kick from Knowles.
Knowles gets caught flat footed, as Guida shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Guida won't allow Knowles to get back to his feet.
Guida working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Knowles preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Guida with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Knowles wants to stand but Guida is controlling the position.
Guida passes Knowles's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Guida missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Knowles pushes Guida off looking to stand but Guida dives back in and keeps control.
Guida moves nicely into side control.
Guida is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Knowles has escaped the position, nice work there.
Knowles wants to get back to his feet.
Guida thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Knowles is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Guida has just dragged him back down to the mat.
Knowles looks gassed!
Guida lands a decent elbow from side control.
Guida scoring with punches and elbows.
Guida has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Knowles is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Guida yanks on the arm and Knowles is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Guida.
