Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Dave Fireball! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Frank Mirror! The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, James Glass and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fireball closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Mirror did well to prevent Fireball getting side control. Mirror looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Fireball is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Mirror defends it well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fireball passes to full mount! Fireball takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Fireball's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fireball is going olschool here, as he tries to force Mirror to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mirror shrugs it off. Fireball tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Mirror defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Fireball.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Fireball controlling from the full mount. Fireball seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Mirror for as long as he can get away with.
The referee stands the fighters back up. Dave Fireball just wasn't active enough from the dominant position. Fireball looking for a takedown here - he's got it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fireball passes into half guard. Fireball wants to work for an arm triangle but Mirror is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Fireball is figuring out what he wants to do next. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fireball scores with a takedown into Mirror's guard. Fireball passes Mirror's left leg - he's now in half guard. Fireball looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Mirror is breathing heavily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Fireball is going olschool here, as he tries to force Mirror to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Mirror shrugs it off. Fireball controlling the position easily from mount. Fireball has hold of Mirror's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Mirror manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Frank Mirror has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Dave Fireball is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Fireball controlling from mount.
And that's the end of the fight! Dave Fireball showed his dominance in that final round. Well Fireball has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
