Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Militan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Duder! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Steve Smith and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Militan. Duder stuffs the takedown. Militan tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Duder swivels and escapes. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Militan. That's going to take a lot out of him. Militan shoots in for a takedown but Duder shows good takedown defense. Militan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Duder's waist but Duder gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Militan off to one side. Militan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Duder circles away. Duder stuffs the takedown. John Militan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Militan will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Militan fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Militan tries for a takedown but Duder sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Militan is breathing heavily. Duder connects with a high kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Militan shoots in but Duder avoids the takedown attempt easily. Duder stuffs the takedown attempt from Militan. Militan gets slowly back to his feet. Militan misses with a takedown attempt - Duder sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Militan looks frusrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. A slapping leg kick lands for Duder.
Duder lands a nice looking body shot.
Militan scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Duder looks like he's trying to stand up.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Militan trying to pass the guard but Duder defending well. Militan stops Duder from getting back to his feet.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Militan lands a nice short elbow. Duder is looking to escape. Duder has hold of Militan's hands but Militan slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Duder is looking to escape. Duder really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Militan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Militan connects with a nice short shot to Duder's temple. Militan is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Duder is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
