Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Darin Blood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tatsujiri Matsui (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tatsujiri Matsui is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Darin Blood!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tatsujiri Matsui!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Frank Dennis and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Matsui fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Blood throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Blood takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Blood misses with a series of wild punches.
Matsui wants to clinch up but Blood keeps it at a distance.
Matsui connects with a right hand. Blood shakes it off.
Blood throws a sloppy head kick and Matsui moves out of range easily.

Blood throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Matsui sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Matsui ducks under a wild hook from Blood.
Blood misses with a jab, cross combination.
Blood shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Blood looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Blood has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Matsui is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Matsui has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Blood can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Matsui is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Blood is aware though and is defending well.
Blood working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Matsui wants to stand but Blood is controlling the position.
Matsui looks gassed!
Blood throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Blood pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Matsui is keeping the position for now.
Matsui looking to hit a scissor sweep but Blood is one step ahead there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blood stands and steps away. Matsui gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Matsui has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Blood finds it's way round the side to connect with Matsui's head.
It looks like Tatsujiri Matsui has been cut.
Blood falls off balance throwing a combination
and Matsui counters with a series of strikes. Blood will be more careful next time no doubt.
Blood misses with a combination
and Matsui counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Blood looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Blood scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Matsui is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Blood lands a head kick. Matsui smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Matsui is still on wobbly legs! Can Blood finish him?
Blood misses with the combination.
Blood throws a right and a left that both miss.

Blood buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Matsui seems to have recovered his senses.
Darin Blood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Matsui takes a kick to the side of the head.
Blood lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Matsui backs up against the cage.
Matsui tries to keep at a distance but Blood has taken the fight into the clinch.
Matsui goes for a takedown in the clinch but Blood prevents it.
Matsui missing with knees to the body.
Blood breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Blood throws a right and a left that both miss.
Blood rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Matsui moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

A combination from Blood does no damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Blood throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Matsui tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Blood counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Blood throws a right hand that Matsui ducks under and follows up with a left that Matsui also avoids with ease.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Blood!
Matsui showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Blood.
Matsui throws a left and a right that both miss
and Blood counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Blood breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Matsui closes the distance and clinches up with Blood, looking for a takedown. Matsui pushes Blood against the cage but Blood circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Darin Blood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tatsujiri Matsui.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A combination from Blood does no damage.
Blood tests Matsui's chin there with a solid looking shot.
No joy there for Blood, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Darin Blood dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Tatsujiri Matsui's cut.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Blood lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Left hook, right uppercut from Matsui.
Blood swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Blood swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Matsui counters with a one-two to the body.
Matsui takes one to the side of the head.
A left lands for Matsui.
Blood lands a with a good body shot.
Blood throws a head kick but Matsui moves out of range.
Matsui has a takedown stuffed.
Matsui on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Matsui takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Blood shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Matsui manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Matsui looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Matsui is looking for a triangle but Blood pushes his legs off easily.
Blood chips away with some ground and pound.
Matsui is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Blood works over Matsui with some ground and pound from guard.
Blood is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Blood drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Blood jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Matsui utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Blood stands and throws Matsui's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Blood misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Matsui tries to bench press Blood off him but Blood keeps the position.
Blood throws a strike aimed at the side of Matsui's head but Matsui avoids it well.
Blood has hold of Matsui's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Matsui seems comfortable defending it but Blood has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Matsui is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Matsui is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Blood couldn't care less - he's delighted!
