Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mikko Koskinen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Shane Hathaway!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Arvi Lind and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hathaway is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Koskinen.
Hathaway shoots in but no luck this time.
Hathaway tries to score a power double leg takedown but Koskinen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hathaway somewhat.
Koskinen throws a series of punches but Hathaway moves out of range.
Koskinen just misses with a punch to the body.
Koskinen tests Hathaway's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Koskinen clobbers Hathaway with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hathaway closes this distance looking for a takedown but Koskinen circles away.
Mikko Koskinen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Shane Hathaway.
Koskinen feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Hathaway sprawling to the canvas! Hathaway rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Koskinen finish him?!
Hathaway is rocked!
Koskinen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hathaway.

Koskinen misses with a jab, cross combination.
Hathaway seems to have recovered his senses.
Hathaway is trying hard to land a takedown here. Koskinen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Hathaway shoots in looking for a takedown. Koskinen tries to sprawl out of it but Hathaway keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Koskinen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hathaway shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Koskinen as he avoids it easily.
Hathaway looks gassed!

Koskinen bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Hathaway's head.
Hathaway is trying desperately to land a takedown but Koskinen is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Hathaway.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Hathaway.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Koskinen knocks Hathaway out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
