The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chaves tries to clinch there but Lao circles away.
Chaves moves in looking to clinch but Lao pushes him off.

Lao is looking for a kimura but Chaves is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lao to get the leverage.

Lao is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Chaves defends it well.
