Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Freddie Figgjo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Enrique Guerrero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Figgjo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Edward Grieg. Guerrero has chosen I Lie, I Cheat, I Steal as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 1, fighting out of London, Freddie Figgjo!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Enrique Guerrero!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, William Gold and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Guerrero is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Figgjo's half guard.

Guerrero is trying to control the action in half guard but Figgjo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Guerrero thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Figgjo moves in looking to clinch but Guerrero pushes him off.
Guerrero fails with the takedown.

That's one minute gone in the round.
An inside leg kick from Guerrero misses.
Guerrero throws a jab but it's blocked by Figgjo.

Figgjo drives through and clinches with Guerrero against the ropes.

Guerrero jumps into guard, dragging Figgjo to the mat.

Guerrero had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Figgjo is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Guerrero Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Figgjo's back instead.
Figgjo manages to scramble and ends up in full guard, under a barage of strikes . Great composure from Figgjo.
Guerrero has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Figgjo is proving hard to escape from.

Guerrero avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Figgjo working for a triangle but Guerrero defends it easily.

Guerrero is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Figgjo has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Guerrero is looking to defend but Figgjo has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Guerrero! Figgjo pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Guerrero taps out and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:04 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Freddie Figgjo!
