Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Christian Steggman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Frazier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jimmy Frazier was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Christian Steggman! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Frazier! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frazier throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Steggman shoots in for a takedown but Frazier shows good takedown defense. Frazier stuffs the takedown attempt from Steggman. Steggman gets slowly back to his feet. Frazier looks to land a right hand but Steggman moved out of range. Frazier throws a series of punches but Steggman avoids them all with ease. Frazier throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Frazier tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Frazier moves into the clinch successfully.
Steggman is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Frazier gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Christian Steggman. That's going to take a lot out of him. Steggman tries for a takedown. No joy.

Frazier throws a right hand that Steggman ducks under and follows up with a left that Steggman also avoids with ease. Steggman shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Frazier as he avoids it easily. Steggman fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
That's one minute gone in the round. Steggman throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Steggman misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Steggman tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Frazier swivels and escapes. Frazier throws a series of punches but Steggman avoids them all with ease. Steggman keeps the fight on the outside. Frazier throws a series of punches but Steggman moves out of range. Frazier misses with a two punch combination.
Steggman shoots in looking for a takedown. Frazier tries to sprawl out of it but Steggman keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Frazier manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Jimmy Frazier is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Frazier tests Steggman's chin there with a solid looking shot. Steggman closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Frazier can do anything to dispel that myth. Frazier is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Steggman slips a nice elbow through Frazier's hands, connecting with Frazier's forehead. Steggman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Frazier is staying active underneath Steggman, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Steggman is thwarting Frazier's attempts to control the position. Steggman prevents Frazier from improving his position. Steggman is nestled in close to Frazier, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. Frazier is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Frazier looks gassed! Steggman missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Steggman closes the distance and clinches up with Frazier, looking for a takedown. Steggman pushes Frazier against the cage but Frazier circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Frazier misses with a wild combination.
Frazier ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Steggman moves away. Frazier swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Steggman blocks a head kick by Frazier.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Frazier.
Frazier gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Steggman drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Steggman jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Frazier working a defensive guard here.

Frazier pushes Steggman off and gets back to his feet.
Steggman drives through with a takedown into guard. Frazier trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Steggman distracts Frazier with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Frazier is trying to control the position but Steggman postures up. Steggman preventing the sweep. Frazier lands a decent punch to the body there. Frazier looking to hit a scissor sweep but Steggman is one step ahead there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Frazier is trying to keep Steggman in close.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground. Steggman showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Frazier.

Steggman fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Steggman dodges the punch combination from Frazier.
Steggman displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Frazier throws out the jab. Frazier digs a good hook to Steggman's body.
Frazier comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Frazier misses with a double jab.

Steggman drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jimmy Frazier dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Steggman feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Steggman cracks Frazier with a solid left hand. Steggman drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Steggman seems to have locked his on tight now - Frazier screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Steggman, as he picks up the win!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:29 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Christian Steggman! Christian Steggman retains his middleweight title!
