PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kinnison Brickshaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Ringo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brickshaw kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genuis that is I will be heard by Hatebreed. Johnny Ringo will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kinnison Brickshaw!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Johnny Ringo!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Alan Glass and Gwen Towbar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ringo fails with an attempt to clinch.
Ringo tries to clinch up.
Ringo tries to close the distance and clinch but Brickshaw swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Nice takedown defense from Brickshaw. No joy for Ringo on that attempt.

Brickshaw had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Ringo is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Brickshaw Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Ringo's back instead.

Brickshaw is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Ringo is defending well though. Brickshaw let's go of the attempt for now.
Ringo looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Ringo rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Ringo makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ringo.

Brickshaw has gone for a leg lock! Ringo slips out almost immediately though and dives into Brickshaw's guard.

Brickshaw is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Brickshaw manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Ringo is bucking up trying to escape but Brickshaw cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Brickshaw jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Ringo is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Ringo and Brickshaw has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Ringo is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Brickshaw defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Horrible takedown by Brickshaw or perhaps it was just good defense by Ringo which made him look bad.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Brickshaw is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Ringo has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Ringo!
