Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Quick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Atwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Quick might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Pantera-Walk. John Quick has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Quick! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ryan Atwood! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Atwood bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Quick is not content to let Atwood control the position. Atwood scores with a couple of short elbows. Atwood stands up. Wow, both these guys are really going for it! Atwood rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Quick moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Quick drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Quick creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Atwood sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Atwood is trying to buck Quick off. Atwood tries to improve position but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Quick goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Atwood rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Quick's guard! Nice work there by Atwood! Quick kicks Atwood off and gets to his feet. Quick shoots in looking for a takedown. Atwood tries to sprawl out of it but Quick keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Atwood manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Atwood looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Atwood is looking to clinch. Quick fails to land with a series of punches.
Quick shoots and misses and Atwood cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Atwood is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Quick showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Atwood.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Atwood rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Quick moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Quick takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Atwood tries to clinch there but Quick circles away.

Quick fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Quick. That's going to take a lot out of him. Quick is breathing heavily. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Quick is defended easily by Atwood. Quick keeps the fight on the outside. Atwood throws a right and a left that both miss. Atwood swings for the body but Quick moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Quick shoots in but no luck this time. Quick blocks a jab. Quick tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Atwood leaves Quick with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Atwood swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Atwood tries to clinch but Quick moves away so Quick counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Quick loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Atwood is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Quick is controlling him.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Atwood has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Quick can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Atwood lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Quick!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Atwood sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. A nice elbow there by Atwood. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ryan Atwood dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Atwood fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Quick on the side of the head. Atwood tries to clinch but Quick moves out of range. Atwood shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Quick keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Atwood wants to lay and pray for a moment but Quick keeps working. Atwood stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Quick to get to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Quick drives through and clinches with Atwood against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Atwood with the Thai clinch, lands a knee to the head. Atwood's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. No luck for Quick with that takedown attempt. Jab from Quick. Atwood lands a big right hand and follows it up with an uppercut. Oh and another big punch and a knee - Quick can't take much more of this! Another big shot to the jaw from Atwood and Quick drops to the floor. Beaten and bloodied - he had enough there. A vicious beatdown by Atwood.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ryan Atwood!
