Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aaron Taylor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Fuerte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Taylor might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to I Run New York. Fuerte is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Minority- Green Day. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Aaron Taylor! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Fuerte! The judges for this bout are Chad Campbell, Reed Andrews and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Fuerte steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Taylor. That one must have hurt. Taylor stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Taylor wants it to stay on the feet. Fuerte scores with a decent looking hook. Fuerte bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Fuerte looks gassed! Taylor is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Fuerte is controlling him well. Fuerte creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Taylor sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Taylor is trying to get back to his feet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fuerte throwing shots but missing, from side control. Taylor is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Fuerte throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Fuerte taking a break here but Taylor is having none of it and regains half guard. Fuerte lands with a punch from half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fuerte thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Fuerte smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Fuerte changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Taylor tries to avoid it but Fuerte manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Taylor to the ground. Taylor escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Fuerte!
Taylor throws a right and a left that both miss. Fuerte misses with a takedown attempt - Taylor sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Aaron Taylor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Fuerte. Taylor throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Fuerte throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Taylor was covering up waiting for the punch and Fuerte finishes the takedown easily into guard. Fuerte postures up.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fuerte missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Fuerte stopping the sweep attempt from Taylor. Fuerte is in close to Taylor's body, working some short punches and elbows. Fuerte content to stall in guard here. Fuerte throwing strikes but missing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taylor pushes Fuerte off and scrambles back to his feet.
Taylor stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Taylor wants it to stay on the feet. Fuerte swats away the attempt to clinch by Taylor. Fuerte shoots for a takedown but Taylor saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Fuerte changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Taylor looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Taylor tries to escape but Fuerte is in control. Taylor is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Fuerte off and has taken his back! Fuerte looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands. Fuerte is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Taylor is hanging on to Fuerte's back as he tries to escape.
Fuerte is trying to get back to his feet but Taylor has full control of the position and if anything, Fuerte has just worked his way into a worse spot. Taylor is trying to stick to Fuerte's back but Fuerte is turning into Taylor. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Taylor's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Fuerte. Taylor wants to sweep here but Fuerte controlling him for the moment. Taylor is trying to keep Fuerte in close.
Fuerte is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Nice shot lands for Fuerte. Fuerte shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Taylor has one foot on Fuerte's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bob Fuerte dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Taylor looks to score with a jab to the body but Fuerte is just out of range. Taylor tries to clinch up but Fuerte circles away and keeps his distance. Taylor keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Taylor scores with a nice body kick.
Taylor throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Fuerte cracks Taylor with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Horrible takedown by Fuerte or perhaps it was just good defense by Taylor which made him look bad. Fuerte is looking to take this fight into the clinch. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Taylor looks for a takedown but Fuerte sprawls well. Taylor closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Taylor keeps control of Fuerte as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Fuerte has Taylor pressed against the cage, preventing Taylor from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Fuerte is trying to break free. Taylor lands a nice elbow. Fuerte turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Fuerte manages to end up in side control. Taylor is trying to improve his position. Taylor sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Fuerte trying to control from half guard but Taylor is working away. Fuerte tries to stand and escape but Taylor actually recovers to full guard. Fuerte chips away with some ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Taylor pushes Fuerte off and gets back to his feet.
Fuerte dives in and grabs Taylor's left leg, looking for a takedown. Taylor pushes down on Fuerte's head and hops out. Aaron Taylor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Fuerte. Fuerte misses with a takedown attempt - Taylor sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Fuerte fails to land the takedown. Taylor displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Fuerte. Fuerte shoots in but Taylor avoids the takedown attempt easily. Taylor is looking to clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taylor tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Fuerte moves into range and clinches up with Taylor. Taylor looking to stall.
Fuerte blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. A short uppercut from Fuerte. Taylor crunches a lovely knee into Fuerte's ribcage. Taylor looking to throw knees to the head but Fuerte is blocking nicely.
Taylor connects with a knee to the head.
Taylor is fighting off a takedown attempt but Fuerte is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Taylor to the mat. Taylor regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Fuerte postures up.
Fuerte postures up in Taylor's guard and throws a big left but Taylor blocks it. Fuerte postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Taylor is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Fuerte, into his guard. Fuerte has an active guard here but Taylor has managed to pass into half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Fuerte looking for submissions off his back. Fuerte is looking to escape. Taylor is looking to take a break and control but Fuerte is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Taylor thows a huge punch but Fuerte dodges it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Aaron Taylor will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!
Fuerte looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Taylor! The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Fuerte cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Fuerte is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Taylor can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Fuerte lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Bob Fuerte has got the better of the ground game so far. A nice elbow there by Fuerte. Fuerte putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Fuerte thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Fuerte landing strikes from the mount. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Taylor is wriggling around trying to escape.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fuerte lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Taylor wants to control but Fuerte is having none of it. Taylor is trying to stand. Fuerte sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Fuerte looking to finish Taylor with some ground and pound. This is bad for Taylor! Fuerte dominating with strikes here. Taylor can't escape the position.
Fuerte unloads with some shots from mount but Taylor bucks and avoids them well.
Fuerte lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Fuerte trying to control but Taylor is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. A nice elbow there by Fuerte. Fuerte scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Taylor?
Fuerte goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Taylor turns into him and now he's in Fuerte's guard.
Taylor slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Fuerte is trying to get back to half guard. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fuerte can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Taylor decides to stand up, so the ref orders Fuerte to his feet. Taylor misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Fuerte fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Taylor misses with a series of wild punches.
Fuerte misses with an uppercut. Fuerte shoots for a double leg takedown but Taylor sprawls well. He's pushed Fuerte's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Fuerte shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Taylor counters with a body kick. Aaron Taylor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bob Fuerte.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Fuerte gets the takedown into side control. Taylor is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Fuerte has just dragged him back down to the mat. Fuerte throwing strikes but Taylor manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Fuerte tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Fuerte covering up well and avoiding damage. Fuerte manages to escape to his feet. Fuerte scores with a body shot.
And that's the end of the fight! Bob Fuerte comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Fuerte has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
