The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Deschain throws a head kick that misses.
Couture takes a swing at Deschain's ribcage but misses.
A shot to the body from Deschain misses
and Couture counters with a series of strikes. Deschain will be more careful next time no doubt.
Couture wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Deschain tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Deschain is looking to land body kicks.
Couture misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Couture scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Deschain clinches.
Deschain doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Couture looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Couture manages to break the clinch.
Deschain shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Couture pinned against the cage. Couture gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Couture jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Deschain throws a lazy right hand but Couture sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
A telegraphed right hand from Deschain misses the target.
Couture avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Deschain takes one on the button.
Couture throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Deschain.

Deschain scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Couture cracks Deschain with a right hand to the side of the head.

Deschain is rocked!
Deschain switches off momentarily and Couture cracks him with a monster right hand! Deschain topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Couture dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Couture!
