Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Noburo Kobayashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Lusion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Noburo Kobayashi had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Noburo Kobayashi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Anthony Lusion! The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Wesley Smith and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lusion fails with an attempt to clinch.
Lusion gets a clinch. Kobayashi letting Lusion take a breather here. Lusion is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Kobayashi is keeping busy. Kobayashi has Lusion pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Kobayashi pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Lusion tumbling to the mat - Kobayashi dives into Lusion's guard. Lusion keeping full guard, as Kobayashi tries to pass. Kobayashi throwing strikes but missing. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kobayashi with a nice head shot there. Lusion wants to stand but Kobayashi is controlling the position. Kobayashi forces his way into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lusion regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Kobayashi. Kobayashi tries to free his leg and advance position but Lusion is retaining full guard. Kobayashi drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Lusion manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Kobayashi has Lusion in his guard. Lusion wants to stand and escape but instead Kobayashi has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Kobayashi is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Lusion is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Lusion has escaped and now he's on top! Kobayashi lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Lusion!

Lusion has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

Kobayashi is working the ground and pound. Can Lusion escape? Kobayashi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Lusion is having to fend off submission attempts from Kobayashi, who is looking to sink in the choke. Kobayashi doesn't have the hooks in though and Lusion manages to reverse position! He's now on top, in his opponent's guard. Kobayashi is looking for a triangle here but Lusion uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Lusion tries to score with some ground and pound. Kobayashi controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Kobayashi looks to move to half guard but instead Lusion has passed into mount! Damn! Lusion tries to control but Kobayashi wriggling away. Kobayashi is desperately trying to improve his position but Lusion has a good base and remains in mount. Kobayashi is working hard here to advance position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Lusion stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing. Anthony Lusion seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lusion is looking to clinch but Kobayashi is avoiding it.
Kobayashi throws a sloppy head kick and Lusion moves out of range easily. Kobayashi shoots in but Lusion avoids the takedown attempt easily. Kobayashi tries for a takedown but Lusion sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Kobayashi misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Noburo Kobayashi. That's going to take a lot out of him. Kobayashi shoots in for a double leg but Lusion sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Jab from Lusion. Kobayashi shoots in and drives through. Lusion sprawls well. Kobayashi shoots in looking for a takedown. Lusion tries to sprawl out of it but Kobayashi keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Lusion manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kobayashi will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Kobayashi misses with a takedown attempt - Lusion sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Noburo Kobayashi will probably get the nod. That's time! Kobayashi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Lusion stands and steps away. Kobayashi gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Lusion tries to clinch up and Kobayashi counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Lusion pushes Kobayashi off and gets back to his feet. Noburo Kobayashi is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lusion tries to clinch but fails miserably and Kobayashi counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Kobayashi is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Kobayashi wants to pass the guard but Lusion is keeping the position. Kobayashi wants to control from the top but Lusion keeps moving. Kobayashi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Lusion's guard. Kobayashi tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Lusion just stands there and leans against the cage. Lusion scores a nice knee to the body.

Lusion lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Kobayashi blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Kobayashi takes an elbow to the forehead. Lusion will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Kobayashi up against the cage. Kobayashi takes an elbow to the temple.

Lusion closes the distance looking to clinch and Kobayashi counters with an outside leg kick.
Lusion doesn't succeed with the takedown and Kobayashi counters with a shoot takedown. Lusion fights it but they end up in guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Lusion keeping moving, preventing Kobayashi from controlling successfully. Kobayashi forces his way into half guard. Kobayashi uses his free foot to push down on Lusion's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Lusion. Kobayashi wants to control the pace but Lusion is squirming around nicely.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kobayashi has isolated one of Lusion's arms. Lusion looking to fight him off but Kobayashi twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
