Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jericho Datu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason Savage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Datu comes to the cage accompanied by Ridin Dirty. Savage has chosen "Killing In The Name Of" by Rage Against the Machine as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jericho Datu!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Savage!
The judges for this bout are , Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Savage dodges the punch combination from Datu.
Datu leaves Savage with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Savage blocks a head kick by Datu.
Datu moves in looking to clinch but Savage pushes him off.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Savage is defended easily by Datu.
No luck for Savage with that takedown attempt.
Jericho Datu has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jason Savage.
Savage closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Datu changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Savage looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Datu is trying to get an arm triangle but Savage is defending well.
Savage is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Savage struggling a bit here.

Datu is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Savage is trying to escape and Datu transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Savage is forced to tap! Nice work there by Datu! Very nice indeed!
