Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jorge Alves!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves moves in looking to clinch but Ive pushes him off.
Alves throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ive.
Alves dodges the punch combination from Ive.
Ive keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Alves gets a clinch.
Alves wants to get back to striking at distance but Ive won't allow it.
Ive tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Alves smiles and moves away.
Alves tries to close the distance and clinch but Ive swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Alves is looking to clinch but Ive is avoiding it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Alves looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ive looks to land a body kick but Alves moved away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ive keeps the fight on the outside.
Alves fails with an attempt to clinch.

Ive closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Alves stalls.
Alves drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ive gets the underhooks and prevents it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Alves tries to pull guard but Ive holds him up against the cage and eventually Alves drops back down to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jorge Alves. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ive keeps control of Alves as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Ive breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Alves fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Ive sprawls well initially but Alves persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Alves seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Ive is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
