Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tota Liddel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mac Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tota Liddel! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mac Day! The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Day tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Liddel swivels and escapes. Liddel stuffs the takedown attempt from Day. Day gets slowly back to his feet. Liddel throws a right hand that Day ducks under and follows up with a left that Day also avoids with ease. Liddel throws out a powerful jab. Liddel throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Day shoots for a takedown but Liddel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Tota Liddel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mac Day. Day walks into a left hand. Liddel fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Day avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Liddel misses with an attempted mid kick.
Liddel drops Day with a big left hand! Day is injured, injured bad! Liddel jumps in and finished him with strikes! The fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tota Liddel! Tota Liddel retains his middleweight title!
