The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
durden fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
durden is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
durden blocks a head kick by Murphy.
durden misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.

Murphy closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
durden is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Murphy is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Murphy is trying to work for a kimura but durden is defending well.
Murphy is pressing down on durden's thigh, looking to free his foot. durden is holding on for now.

Murphy is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. durden can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

durden is squirming around, avoiding Murphy's attempts to control the action.
durden is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.
durden is trying desperately to improve position.
durden is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Murphy swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and durden is now in Murphy's guard. A big mistake from Murphy there, giving up the dominant position!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

durden drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Murphy manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now durden has Murphy in his guard.

Brandon Murphy overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Murphy wants to get up but he can't break durden's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Murphy drops back looking for a leg! durden is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and durden manages to kick Murphy off! Murphy jumps back into durden's guard.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
