Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dorian Brewster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dave Giles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Dave Giles enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dorian Brewster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dave Giles!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Brewster darts in and clinches Giles up against the cage.
Giles drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Brewster pressing his opponent against the cage.
Brewster wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Giles jumps guard but Brewster stands there with Giles around his waist. Giles gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Brewster lands a nice uppercut.

Brewster drags the fight down to the ground.
Giles pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Brewster is keeping the position for now.
Brewster on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Brewster tries to get out of the position.
Brewster keeping moving, preventing Giles from controlling successfully.
Brewster is trying to control the position but Giles postures up.

Brewster is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Giles is controlling him.
Brewster has control of Giles's left arm, preventing Giles from doing any damage.
Giles trying to control but Brewster is working from the bottom.

Brewster scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Brewster shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Giles is trying to defend but Brewster finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Brewster is trying to control. Giles wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Brewster decides to return to a standing position.
Giles gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Brewster counters by moving into the clinch.
Dorian Brewster has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dave Giles.

Brewster manages to pull guard.
Brewster avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Giles postures up.
Brewster wants to stand and escape but Giles is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Brewster keeping moving, preventing Giles from controlling successfully.
Brewster knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Giles on the ground.

Giles stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Brewster swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Giles won't allow Brewster to get back to his feet.
Brewster is breathing heavily.
Brewster is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

and Brewster holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Brewster wants the takedown. Giles is fighting it off but Brewster persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Giles's guard against the cage.
Giles is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Brewster has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Giles is proving hard to escape from.

Brewster has gone for a leg lock! Giles slips out almost immediately though and dives into Brewster's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dorian Brewster dominated that round.
That's time! Brewster's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and Brewster counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Brewster drives through with a takedown into guard.
Brewster trying to control the position from guard on top but Giles is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Brewster missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Brewster has gone for a leg lock! Giles slips out almost immediately though and dives into Brewster's guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Brewster has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Giles off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.
Giles moves out of range as Brewster throws a body kick.
Giles tries for a takedown but Brewster circles away easily

and Brewster counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Giles!

Giles is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brewster controlling the pace for now.
Brewster's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Giles wants to control but Brewster is having none of it.

Giles blocking the ground and pound.
Giles really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Brewster controlling from mount.
Brewster avoids the attempt from Giles to control.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Brewster fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Giles working to try and regain half guard.
Giles is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The referee warns Giles that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dorian Brewster dominated that second round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!



Brewster rushes Giles and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Brewster looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Brewster is trying to force a seperation but Giles has the dominant position.
Brewster lands a left hand that snaps the head of Giles backwards.

Brewster's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Giles misses with a takedown attempt

and Brewster counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Brewster is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Brewster trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Brewster working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Giles can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Brewster controls the pace.
Giles keeping moving, preventing Brewster from controlling successfully.
Brewster works a leg free and moves into half guard.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Giles is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Brewster wants to take a breather but Giles is having none of it.
Brewster keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Giles is looking to improve his position.
Brewster trying to control the action but Giles is working from the bottom.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Giles wants to control but Brewster is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Brewster drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Giles dives on top into guard.
Giles wants to control from the top but Brewster keeps moving.
Giles passes Brewster's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Dave Giles has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Dorian Brewster is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Giles is trying to work for a kimura but Brewster is defending well.

And that's the end of the fight!
Dorian Brewster showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Brewster has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
