Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Sands (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gregor Clagne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris Sands! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gregor Clagne! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Clagne looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Sands tries to land a front kick but Clagne steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Clagne fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Sands on the side of the head. Sands fails to land with a series of punches.
Sands throws an overhand right that lands on Clagne's shoulder, as Clagne tries to avoid the shot. Sands really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Clagne tries to clinch up. Clagne tries to clinch but Sands is having none of it. Gregor Clagne seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Clagne misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sands.
Sands takes the fight into the clinch. Clagne is trying to break the clinch but Sands is controlling him. Sands jumps into guard, dragging Clagne to the mat.
Clagne trying to control but Sands is working from the bottom. Sands looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Clagne wants to pass the guard but Sands is keeping the position. Clagne with a flurry of punches that miss. Clagne throwing strikes but missing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sands wants to stand up but Clagne is controlling him. Sands is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Clagne defends well.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Clagne gets caught flat footed, as Sands shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Clagne is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Sands is aware though and is defending well. Clagne bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Sands's guard. Sands is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Clagne defends well. Clagne stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sands swivels though and keeps the full guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Clagne passes Sands's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Sands keeps control of the position for the meantime. Sands wants to control but Clagne is keeping busy.
Clagne wants to work for an arm triangle but Sands is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Clagne thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Sands's head. Sands wants to control but Clagne is keeping busy.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sands keeping control of the leg, stopping his opponent passing to mount. Sands wants to control but Clagne is keeping busy and won't allow it. Clagne is trying to control the action in half guard but Sands is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Sands is trying to get back to full guard. Clagne is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Sands has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Clagne is working away from the top position though. Clagne is looking for a kimura here.
Sands is trying to get back to full guard.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Clagne throws a body punch but Sands moves out of range. Sands showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Clagne.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gregor Clagne dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Sands lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Clagne paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Clagne fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sands manages to avoid it. A left and a right from Clagne both land. Nice combination. Sands fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Clagne, pushing him back against the cage. Clagne fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Sands gets a trip takedown into half guard. Sands wants to lay and pray for a moment but Clagne keeps working. Sands will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Clagne gets back to full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round. Sands slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Clagne looking to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sands preventing the sweep. Clagne is breathing heavily. Clagne not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Sands wants to control from the top but Clagne keeps moving.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Sands circles away from the clinch attempt and Sands counters with a flying knee. Nice.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Clagne gets caught flat footed, as Sands shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Sands wants to get up but he can't break Clagne's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Sands trying to control the position from guard on top but Clagne is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Sands trying to move into half guard but instead Clagne has managed to sweep! Clagne trying to control but Sands is working from the bottom. Sands wants to stand but Clagne is controlling the position. Sands trying to keep a closed guard but Clagne is proving a slippery customer.
Clagne sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Sands's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Clagne frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Sands in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Clagne fails to move to back control. Sands wants to control but Clagne is having none of it. Clagne goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Sands turns into him and now he's in Clagne's guard.
Clagne tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sands trying to control the position from guard on top but Clagne is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Clagne is trying to control the position but Sands postures up. Sands stands up from guard. Let's bang! A swing and a miss from Clagne. Chris Sands is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Sands closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Clagne to the mat! Clagne manages to get full guard. Sands throwing strikes from guard but Clagne blocks nicely. Sands showing good wrestling skills to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Sands dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Clagne tries to bum rush Sands with a series of wild strikes but Sands uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Clagne misses with a hook. Sands ducked under it nicely. Clagne works the jab nicely. Clagne lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Sands rushes Clagne and presses him up against the cage. Clagne fails to pull guard.

Sands gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Clagne is working an open guard so Sands takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Sands closes the distance and clinches. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Clagne tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Sands lands a takedown into guard.
Sands throwing strikes from guard but Clagne blocks nicely. Clagne working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Sands doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Sands manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sands wants to control from the top but Clagne keeps moving. Clagne looking for a guillotine here but Sands defends easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Sands trying to control the position from guard on top but Clagne is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Clagne looking to control but Sands passes into half guard.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Clagne gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Clagne is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Sands defends well. Clagne keeping moving, preventing Sands from controlling successfully.
