Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Elyas Pical!
The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Seu Braga and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pical drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

Panse looking for a guillotine here but Pical defends easily.
Pical throwing strikes but missing.
Pical scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Panse is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pical is aware though and is defending well.
Pical postures up in Panse's guard and throws a big left but Panse blocks it.
Pical throws a strike but Panse rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Pical wants to get back to his feet but Panse is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Panse slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Panse is trying to get an arm triangle but Pical is defending well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pical tries to escape but Panse is in control.

Panse wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pical, who protects the arm well.
Pical wants to get back to his feet but Panse drags him back down.

Panse has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Pical is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Panse yanks on the arm and Pical is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Panse.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jim Panse!
