Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hiro Sierko! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Shane Martinez! The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Yukihiro Shimada and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sierko shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Martinez wants to get back to his feet. Sierko is keen to just control but Martinez is a slippery customer. Martinez trying to hold on to Sierko's head to control him but Sierko postures up.
Sierko looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Martinez is trying to stand.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Sierko wants to lay and pray for a moment but Martinez keeps working. Sierko is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Martinez defends it well. Sierko wants to control but Martinez is keeping him busy.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Danga de danga de dang - Martinez scores with a four punch combination!
It looks like Hiro Sierko has been cut. Martinez fails with the takedown and Sierko counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Martinez keeping moving, preventing Sierko from controlling successfully. Sierko advances position into side control! Martinez is looking to reverse the position. Martinez is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Martinez manages to get back to half guard. Sierko is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Sierko is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Martinez is just riding it out for now. Sierko eventually gives up the hold. Sierko is breathing heavily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Martinez misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Sierko is trying to control the action in half guard but Martinez is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Sierko thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Sierko not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Sierko thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Martinez's head. Sierko wants to take a breather but Martinez is having none of it.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Martinez shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Excellent takedown into side control there by Sierko. Martinez gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there! Sierko working for a submission but Martinez is keeping him at bay. Martinez keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sierko can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Martinez is looking to escape. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Shane Martinez will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Hiro Sierko's cut. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Sierko is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Martinez's half guard. Martinez wants to control but Sierko is keeping busy and won't allow it. Martinez slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Sierko passes into half guard under a barage of strikes. Sierko is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Sierko stalling.

Martinez is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Martinez is looking to improve his position.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Sierko is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Martinez can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Martinez is looking to get to half guard. Martinez throwing punches from his back but nothing is landing. Sierko working for a submission but Martinez is keeping him at bay. Martinez is squirming around, avoiding Sierko's attempts to control the action. Sierko is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Martinez is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Martinez flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Sierko anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Martinez and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Sierko slips an arm under Martinez chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Sierko has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Sierko is squeezing on Martinez like an anaconda would it's prey. Martinez fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:02 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Hiro Sierko!
