Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jim Halpert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nikola Stojanovic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jim Halpert! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nikola Stojanovic! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Stojanovic forces Halpert back against the cage and clinches. Stojanovic prevents a takedown attempt there.
Stojanovic throws a head punch that misses. Halpert prevents a takedown attempt there.
Halpert wants a takedown.
Halpert is trying to stall.
Halpert has Stojanovic pressed against the cage, preventing Stojanovic from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Stojanovic takes an elbow to the forehead.
It looks like Nikola Stojanovic has been cut. Halpert drops down looking for an ankle pick but Stojanovic pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jim Halpert. That's going to take a lot out of him. Stojanovic shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Stojanovic was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Stojanovic postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Halpert looks a forlorn figure.
Stojanovic trying to control but Halpert is having none of it. Halpert is trying to reverse the position but instead Stojanovic has taken his back - oops! Halpert tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
That's one minute gone in the round. Halpert really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

Stojanovic with the ground and pound from mount. Stojanovic is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet! Halpert fails with the takedown and Stojanovic decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Halpert's guard. Stojanovic slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Stojanovic thows a big elbow that misses. Stojanovic is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Halpert working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stojanovic doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stojanovic manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Halpert is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Stojanovic defends well. Halpert is breathing heavily. Stojanovic's corner is telling him to maintain position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Stojanovic distracts Halpert with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Halpert keeping moving, preventing Stojanovic from controlling successfully. Stojanovic looking to pass the guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Halpert is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Stojanovic is stalling in the full guard. Halpert manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Stojanovic manages to get himself to full guard.
Halpert advances position into side control! Halpert is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Stojanovic knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Stojanovic is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Halpert's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Halpert prevents Stojanovic from standing back up.
Halpert has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Stojanovic defend it? Halpert steps over the head and cranks it - Stojanovic is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Halpert!
