Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Andrae Armstrong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rick Law (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Armstrong comes to the cage accompanied by O Let's Do It. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andrae Armstrong! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rick Law! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Armstrong is looking to clinch. A head kick misses from Armstrong. No luck for Law with that takedown attempt. Armstrong drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Armstrong is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Armstrong has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Armstrong pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Law is keeping the position for now. Armstrong got a little sloppy there for a moment and Law has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Armstrong has managed to get both his arms back between Law's legs - danger averted. Armstrong trying to control the position from guard on top but Law is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Armstrong stands up from Law's guard - Armstrong perhaps looking for a knockout. Law misses with a takedown attempt and Armstrong counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Armstrong controlling the action here. Armstrong stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Law to get to his feet. Andrae Armstrong seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Law misses with a takedown and Armstrong counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Law! Andrae Armstrong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rick Law. Law looks gassed!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Law tries to get back to half guard but can't. Law is squirming around, avoiding Armstrong's attempts to control the action. Law is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Armstrong stands up from mount. Strange move. Law avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Armstrong really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Law misses with a takedown attempt and Armstrong counters with a nice double leg into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Law is refusing to be controlled, as Armstrong sits in half guard. Armstrong escapes and gets back to his feet. Armstrong scores with a takedown into Law's guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Law is working an open guard so Armstrong takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Andrae Armstrong dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Armstrong moves into range and clinches up with Law. Armstrong landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.
Law tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Armstrong smiles and moves away.
Law throws a wild combination but nothing lands. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Law fails with the takedown and Armstrong counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Armstrong. Law is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Armstrong trying to control but Law is working from the bottom. Armstrong gets to his feet - Law follows without any prompting. Armstrong gets a clinch. Law wants to get back to striking at distance but Armstrong won't allow it.
Armstrong gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Law keeping moving, preventing Armstrong from controlling successfully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Armstrong content to stall in guard here. Law is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Armstrong is aware though and is defending well. Law had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Armstrong is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Law Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Armstrong's back instead. Law not allowing Armstrong to control his hands.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Armstrong rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Armstrong has a hand on Law's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Law takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Armstrong is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Law goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Armstrong is on top in guard.
Armstrong decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Armstrong looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Law throws a looping overhand right but Armstrong ducks down to avoid it. Law wants to clinch but Armstrong slips to the side and Armstrong decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Law's guard. Rick Law has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

This is very bad for Armstrong! Can he survive? No! He's out! Law gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
