Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, All American! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Tony Stratton! The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Atkins and James Ackerman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! American closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. You can see the frustration on Stratton's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. American knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Stratton on the ground. American misses with an attempted head punch from side control. Stratton manages to work his way to half guard, despite American's best efforts. Stratton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. American is working away from the top position though. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. American landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. American performing his best blanket impression for a moment. American throwing shots but Stratton is blocking nicely. Stratton has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. American throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
American closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Stratton did well to prevent American getting side control. American trying to control but Stratton is working from the bottom. American throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Stratton works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Stratton controls American momentarily but American frees himself. American works over Stratton with some ground and pound from guard. American trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Stratton is breathing heavily. Stratton wants to control the position but American says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. American takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
That's one minute gone in the round. Stratton gets full guard. American postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. American's corner is telling him to maintain position. American landing some decent shots from guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. American postures up in Stratton's guard and throws a big left but Stratton blocks it. Stratton avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. American postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. American content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Stratton is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst American is controlling him. American is working Stratton over from the guard. Stratton controls American momentarily but American frees himself. American works over Stratton with some ground and pound from guard. Stratton avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Stratton manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. American manages to get himself to full guard.

All American overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. American trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. American is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Stratton wants to control from the top but American keeps moving.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. American shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than American was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Stratton tries to lock up and control but American gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. American pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. American avoids the attempt from Stratton to control. American controlling his opponent. American lands a big shot there that rocks Stratton but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's three minutes gone in the round. American takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. American working the head and body with strikes. American prevents Stratton from improving his position. American is controlling the pace.

Stratton has hold of American's hands but American slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. American missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Stratton is refusing to be controlled, as American sits in half guard. Stratton wants to improve his position but American is controlling well.
American is controlling the pace.
American wants to stand up but Stratton is controlling the position.
And that's the end of the fight! All American showed his dominance in that final round. Well American has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
